Terms and Conditions

In order to use the Enjoy-a-Ball online booking system we ask that you agree to the following terms and conditions:

PAYMENT

  • One month’s paid notice is required upon leaving Enjoy-a-Ball.

  • There is no reduction in fees for non-attendance due to illness or any other reason.

Subscription:

  • Fees will be collected by subscription on the 1st of each month.

  • Enjoy-a-Ball runs classes during the school term. (On average 38 out of 52 weeks in the year: this may vary from franchise to franchise). Your payment plan covers the cost of all classes and is spread equally over 12 months of the year. Therefore fees/subscriptions are still payable during school holiday months (Including July for Scotland and August for England) where no lessons are taking place.

  • Children not continuing into the next school year: Scotland – subscriptions will be cancelled (4 weeks’ notice given in June) after the July payment. England – subscriptions will be cancelled (4 weeks’ notice given in July) after the August payment.

Term payments:

  • Payment due upon receipt of invoice and in advance of classes.

GENERAL

  • Details will be provided in advance of class dates and any public holidays when classes will not take place.

  • Every effort will be made to avoid injury during lessons and Enjoy-a-Ball will not be held liable should an injury occur during a class.

  • I confirm that I am satisfied with the safety arrangements in place at classes.

  • Enjoy-a-Ball coaches will administer appropriate first aid to students if required.

  • Enjoy-a-Ball coaches cannot be held responsible for children before or after their specified lesson times.

  • Parents/carers should drop-off and collect children from within the premises where classes are held.

  • Children being left at classes by their parent/guardian/carer must be able to go to the toilet on their own and manage their clothing on their own e.g. buttons and zips. If they cannot then the parent/guardian/carer must stay for the duration of the lesson.

  • Where communication is made via email, recipient’s addresses will not be disclosed. We will not disclose contact information of any child or parent/guardian or carer.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO

  • From time to time photos or video may be taken of the children during their Enjoy-a-Ball sessions.

  • Photos may be placed on the Enjoy-a-Ball website, linked Facebook pages, or for advertising.

  • It is our policy to never include personal information on any individual.

  • Any video taken during an Enjoy-a-Ball session may be used for continued coach’s training and appraisal.

ADULT HELPER

  • Enjoy-a-Ball will operate a “rota system” to allow for one parent/guardian or carer of a child in that class to remain for its duration as an “additional adult”. This ensures that Enjoy-a-Ball can provide sports coaching for children in a positive, fun and safe environment. We aim to follow “best practice” in terms of both coaching development and child protection in all of our classes. We also aim to deliver our lessons at local, accessible venues and at an affordable cost. This requires a minimum of two adults to be present for the duration of each class.

  • One of the adults will be the Enjoy-a-Ball coach while the other can be the parent/guardian or carer of one of the children in the particular class. This role for the parent/guardian or carer is entitled “adult helper” and is entirely voluntary and unpaid.

  • Adult helpers do not assist in the coaching of children. However, Enjoy-a-Ball takes the view that an additional adult being present in the event of, say, an injury to a child, would be extremely beneficial.

  • Enjoy-a-Ball will try to ensure that an adult helper is present at every class but cannot be held responsible if no adult helper attends.

  • It is acknowledged that not every parent/guardian or carer will be able to attend classes in this capacity. However, if possible, your support with this policy would be greatly appreciated and would help us to deliver coaching development to your child in a safe environment.

The role of an adult helper can best be described as follows:

  • The adult helper at a class must be the parent/guardian or carer of a child in that class.

  • The adult helper should remain for the full duration of the class.

  • The adult helper will take no part in the lesson but should observe it.

  • The adult helper should help the coach to ensure that no children leave the premises during the running of the class. This may include watching to ensure a child reaches the toilet and returns back to the hall safely. Adult helpers will not take children into the toilets or be required to assist in helping children at the toilet. Before the class begins and after the class finishes the children’s parents/guardians or carers are responsible for their children in this respect.

  • The adult helper should be in a position to help the coach to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in a class during the lesson.

  • In the event of an injury to a child that requires the coach to administer first aid the adult helper may be asked to assist with the other members of the class during the time that the injured child is attended to.

PASSWORD

  • We ask that you provide us with a simple password. Please make this a word that the family / carer (other than the children) will remember and that is unique to Enjoy-a-Ball.

  • Most of the time we find that it is the same person that drops off and collects each week, which is fine, but it is on the days when someone else comes along to do the pick up; a dad, grandparent, aunt, friends, etc. that we do not know or recognise, that we would ask that person for the password.
